![]() You only need to quote the first six digits for the serial number, and you should also mention that Wilhelm Schimmel was German, and the ''Schimmel Piano Company'' was established in 1885 - originating near Leipzig (and had to move to larger premises in 1897 because they expanded so much), the company is still in existence today, and one of the largest piano organisations in the 21st Century and very successful. If you click on ''Pianos for sale by the general public'' - on the left here, there is a place to advertise it there. I don't think anyone would ring you, nor show any interest in your piano without photos and more info, and having said that - this forum page is for general advice only. ![]() We are also not sure what you mean ''any thoughts'' ? as you have not asked any questions about how to sell your piano privately, but instead ''started off'' an advert for selling it (in a roundabout way). You obviously have a piano for sale, and you ask if there is a compromise in selling it to a retailer as opposed to a private sale, of which you have answered this yourself.
